Elias Adame Jr., a 45-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in the 1100 block of East Young Street in Wilmington, according to LA County Coroner’s records.
About 12:30 a.m., Adame was hanging out at a friend’s house when the other person went inside to use the restroom, said Los Angeles Police Det. David Cortez. That's when Adame was shot. Witnesses heard a vehicle speeding away, but it’s unclear whether the shooter got out or shot from inside a vehicle. Adame was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
