PATERSON, New Jersey — A Navy veteran discharged this past July was shot to death in an apparent robbery this morning, a report in the Record said.

Police said in the report that Frank Wilborn, 22, was found outside a two-story home at 35 Ryle Avenue. Wilborn was visiting a friend in an upstairs bedroom when the two men broke down the door, witnesses told police.

The Paterson resident was shot, then he either was thrown out a window or jumped out himself, Paterson Det. Lt. Ronald Humphrey said in the report. Police are searching for two suspects who fled the scene, according to the report.
